This is some stuff about me.
I love solving problems, writing code, and helping students on their development journeys. I also help
organize the San Antonio Women Developers Meetup.
My curiosity and love for science initially led me to pursue a degree in biology. In college, I had an amazing mathematics professor who completely changed my perspective on problem solving. At the same time, I worked as a cognitive brain trainer, which led me to discover a second passion, helping others.
I am a biologist turned high school teacher turned software developer turned teacher of developers. My background in both the sciences and education, has given me a unique approach to teaching others and developing software solutions.
When I'm not coding or teaching, I'm usually working on one of my many hobbies - right now, crafting with clay or exploring virtual reality!
These are some of my technical skills.
- Java/Spring Boot
- Groovy/Grails
- MySQL
- API Integration
